Join Us to Commemorate Remembrance Sunday

Derby residents are invited to take part in this year’s Remembrance Sunday events on Sunday, 9 November 2025.

Annual Parade and Service Details

The city’s traditional Remembrance Sunday parade and service will return this November, uniting youth groups, veteran organisations, and community members to honour the sacrifices of the armed forces and emergency services.

Event Schedule

From 10:45 AM, local veteran and youth groups will march through the city centre to the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
A brief service, led by the Lord Bishop of Derby and assisted by the Very Rev'd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby, will commence at 10:55 AM.
A two-minute silence will be observed during the service.
Wreaths will then be laid at the War Memorial by civic leaders and representatives from local organisations.

The Order of Service is available for download. The service will also be broadcast on a large screen in the Market Place.

This year, troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company will not parade, but several local youth and veteran organisations will participate as usual.

Derby’s Remembrance Sunday maintains its longstanding tradition of community remembrance despite changes in participant groups this year.
