Gothic Church in Cornwall Could Become Luxury Flats
A Gothic church in Cornwall, which has been in a state of decay, may be transformed into nine apartments if a new planning application is approved.
The Flexbury Park United Methodist Church, located in Bude, was opened in 1905 but closed in 2008 due to structural problems. Developers claim that the church is in danger of demolition or collapse due to decay.
- A planning application has been submitted to Cornwall Council to convert the church into apartments.
- The application is among several others, including housing developments and a bid to relocate a historic beach-side water fountain.
- No dates have been set for when the planning applications will be determined.
The plans can be viewed on the planning portal on Cornwall Council’s website.
