Season 5 Setting and Plot
The story takes place in the fall of 1987. Hawkins is deeply affected after the Rifts opened, uniting the characters with one crucial mission: to find and kill Vecna. However, Vecna has disappeared, and his location and plans remain a mystery.
The town is placed under military quarantine by the government, which intensifies its search for Eleven and forces her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance nears, a heavy and familiar dread looms.
