Henley Mayor Tom Buckley has officially revealed “Horris” as the chosen name for Hofmann’s newly restored Morris Minor van. The independent garage on Newtown Road purchased the vehicle to promote its business and ran a community competition in September to decide on its name.
Centrica’s Maidenhead Road site is being vacated. Meanwhile, land between Green View, Holyport Street, and Glenside, Holyport Road is under review for a proposed self-build home. The site has seen three previously unsuccessful housing applications.
Residents have contributed to Remembrance displays, including knitted poppies atop a postbox on Bray High Street and a poppy installation in the park along Bray Road.
Pinder Hall in Cookham has launched a £50,000 fundraising campaign for vital building repairs, including roof restoration. The hall is located at 2 Lower Road, Cookham.
