Alan Carr, known for his role on Celebrity Traitors and his ITV sitcom Changing Ends, has been recruited by the BBC for a brand new show. The comedian is gaining increased attention following his appearance as a Traitor on the popular BBC One gameshow.
The 49-year-old was reportedly flown abroad to film the pilot for a celebrity quiz show, according to The Sun. This move follows speculation about a fresh TV deal for Carr, eight years after his Channel 4 chat show, Chatty Man, concluded.
The new contract could position Alan Carr in direct competition with his Celebrity Traitors co-star Jonathan Ross, who recently renewed his ITV talk show, The Jonathan Ross Show.
"Unquestionably, Alan is the hottest man on TV right now. Everyone wants a piece of him. But the BBC have acted quickly and last week he was jetted out to a swanky European city for a day of filming a pilot."
Alan Carr is experiencing a career boost as BBC secures him for a new celebrity quiz show, highlighting his rising popularity across networks.
