Shock Resignation of Reform UK Leader in Cornwall
Cllr Rob Parsonage, the leader of the Reform UK party in Cornwall, has resigned his position at Cornwall Council.
This decision comes just days after the deputy leader, Cllr Rowland O’Connor, resigned from the party.
A member of the party described the situation as "a mess".
Cllr Parsonage, who represents Torpoint, was recently criticized by a party member, who described him as an "odious little man" lacking the "intellect" or "leadership qualities" needed to lead the party.
The Reform UK group in Cornwall stated: "Following careful consideration, Cllr Robert Parsonage has decided to step down from his role as group leader, effective immediately."
A search for a new leader is now underway.
