Kourtney Kardashian has introduced Lemme Colostrum, a new line of colostrum-based supplements in gummy and liquid creamer forms under her wellness brand. The launch is highlighted by a playful campaign featuring Kim Kardashian "suing" Kourtney for not sharing the product sooner.
Colostrum is the initial milk produced after childbirth, packed with proteins, antibodies, and growth factors that support a newborn's immune system. Most supplements use bovine colostrum from cow’s milk, which includes immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, and antioxidants.
Kourtney asserts that the supplement helps enhance gut health and immunity. However, the scientific support for these claims varies.
According to Dr Nishmita R, Consultant in Geriatric Medicine at SPARSH Hospital, Bangalore:"Colostrum is gaining popularity among adults for its potential to boost immunity, improve gut health, and aid recovery after illness. However, it should be used cautiously and only when necessary."
While colostrum supplements might offer benefits, experts recommend careful use, warning they may not be safe or suitable for everyone.
Kourtney Kardashian’s colostrum products appeal to wellness enthusiasts, but expert advice urges cautious, informed use due to limited universal safety assurance.
