The Phoenix Suns have yet to see their lineup fully healthy. Key starters, guard Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks, have missed multiple games. Green suffered a hamstring injury before the preseason and has not appeared in any regular season games. Brooks missed the recent game against the Utah Jazz due to a core muscle strain, marking his third consecutive absence.
Coach Jordan Ott shared the latest on their status, explaining that the team evaluates them daily.
“We haven't had a ton of 5-on-5 because of our schedule. Yesterday, the day in between, more just film and walk through. They've been able to partake in all of that,”
Both players joined the Suns as part of the Kevin Durant trade with the Houston Rockets.
Green was ruled out before the regular season started and was scheduled for re-evaluation after ten days, but his return timeline remains uncertain. Coach Ott highlighted Green's commitment during practice and off-court activities.
“You can see him in games, how engaged he is and how much he wants to be out there. It's the same in practice. He's been great the entire time. So he's getting it in here and there and that's really helped him as he's progressed here.
We know when he gets into live action that hopefully his involvement overall can be sped up because of the reps he's been able to take even though he isn't playing in the game.”
Both players' recoveries are vital as the Suns aim to return to full strength.
Summary: The Suns continue to monitor injuries to Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green, emphasizing patient recovery while expecting their active contributions to accelerate once they return to game action.
