Netflix has announced its awards campaign for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, aiming to secure recognition this fall. The entire acting ensemble is submitted in supporting categories for the Golden Globes, alongside other fall awards, according to Variety.
These submissions apply exclusively to the fall awards season. Netflix's official plan for the 2026 Emmy Awards has not yet been finalized.
For the Golden Globes, voters will only consider the first four episodes of the final season. The SAG Awards, which do not separate lead and supporting roles in television, will have all actors competing in a single category.
“The Golden Globes slate features all performers submitted for best performance by an actor/actress in a supporting role on television in their respective gender categories.”
“For the SAG Awards, which notably does not distinguish between lead and supporting performers in television series, all actors compete in the same race.”
The season’s awards campaign reflects Netflix's strategic positioning of Stranger Things in major supporting acting and ensemble categories.
Netflix has launched its acting campaigns for the final Stranger Things season, targeting supporting roles and ensemble honors for major fall awards, with Emmy plans pending.
