PlayStation Portal now supports streaming select PS5 games directly with PlayStation Plus Premium. Since its release in November 2023, the device has received updates improving public Wi-Fi connectivity and user experience.
Last year, PlayStation introduced a Cloud Streaming beta, enabling PlayStation Plus Premium members to play select PS5 titles from the PlayStation Plus Game and Classics Catalogs without needing a PS5 console.
On November 5 at 6pm PT / November 6 at 2am GMT, PlayStation Portal received a significant update. Now, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can stream select digital PS5 games directly from their own libraries.
“Thousands of PS5 games support Cloud Streaming, including blockbusters such as Astro Bot, Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite, Ghost of Yōtei, Grand Theft Auto V, and Resident Evil 4.”
This update marks a significant step in expanding how players access and enjoy PS5 games on the go.
