Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou has accused the actor known for his role as Hawkeye of threatening to call ICE on her and of sending inappropriate images. Zhou, 34, shared a series of posts on Instagram in which she detailed her claims against Jeremy Renner, 54.
According to Zhou, the two met while collaborating on a documentary and an animated film. She alleged that Renner contacted her via direct message and WhatsApp in June 2025, sending her unsolicited explicit photos.
Zhou claimed that their relationship later became romantic, but tensions rose during a meeting at Renner’s home in Reno, Nevada, about their joint documentary Chronicles Of Disney.
"I was discussing about the doc logistics, then he drank a bottle of wine alone and got angry and angry yelling for two hours," Zhou told the Daily Mail.
"I had to location share to my team, my parents and Disney colleagues in case something happens to me they know where I am. I had to lock myself in a room praying he would not come into the room at night. I did not say a word, I was so scared for my life."
Zhou added that despite her fear, she told a colleague she would stay at Renner’s home. The Daily Mail also reportedly published the messages she exchanged with Disney staff during the alleged incident.
