US-based medical device manufacturer Cranial Technologies has made its debut at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. The company seeks to expand into China's rapidly growing market for advanced infant care and to strengthen its global footprint.
"We are truly honored to participate in the CIIE for the first time — it's one of the world's most influential platforms for global trade and innovation," said Debbie James, Chief Executive Officer of Cranial Technologies.
James noted that the event provides a valuable opportunity to form partnerships that could deliver the company’s world-class infant care technologies to more Chinese families. She added that Cranial Technologies’ mission aligns closely with China’s national health initiative, Healthy China 2030, which makes this an ideal time to deepen cooperation.
Cranial Technologies has treated more than 400,000 infants worldwide using its FDA-cleared DOC Band, the pioneering cranial orthotic created to gently correct plagiocephaly, often referred to as flat head syndrome, during early infancy.
The product recently received clearance from China’s National Medical Products Administration and will soon become available to patients in the local market.
Recognizing China's open and high-standard business environment, James said it offers "tremendous opportunities" for international healthcare innovators like Cranial Technologies.
Cranial Technologies enters China through CIIE, bringing its advanced DOC Band infant therapy and reinforcing its alignment with Healthy China 2030 goals.
