Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently opened up about his complex relationship with his late father and how it influenced his personality and career. He revealed that his father's habits, including a tendency to lie and experiences of failure, deeply affected him during his childhood.
In an interview on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Nawazuddin recounted that he did not recognize the issues in his relationship with his father until he moved to Mumbai. He explained how his perspective changed after experiencing life in a big city.

He admitted that although they communicated frequently, he often took his father for granted, a realization that came only after his father's passing.
Nawazuddin acknowledged that his father’s failures were a motivating factor for his own success. He credited these experiences with helping him develop resilience and ambition.
“We used to talk a lot, but I think I took him for granted a lot of the time. This is something I realised much later in life after he passed away.”
