CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif Launches Initiatives for Differently-Abled Children

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has introduced special initiatives aimed at supporting autistic children by providing free therapy, books, transportation, and meals to all enrolled students. This marks a significant step toward inclusivity and support for differently-abled persons in Punjab.

Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism

The first Board of Directors meeting of the Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism was chaired by Sania Ashiq, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Special Education. The board took historic steps to enhance the welfare and rehabilitation of autistic children in the province.

"Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism will become the first state-of-the-art government institution in Pakistan dedicated to the education and rehabilitation of autistic children."

The Centre will provide world-class education and therapy services free of charge, fulfilling the Chief Minister’s vision. The board approved additional support including free uniforms, school meals, and government-provided pick-and-drop services.

Facilities for Holistic Development

All facilities will be accessible to children at no cost, promoting a comprehensive environment for growth and rehabilitation.
