Sub Focus and Grimes Unite on "Entwined"
The latest single from English DJ and producer Sub Focus, titled “Entwined”, features Canadian electro-pop artist Grimes. Released through Casablanca Records, the track is part of Sub Focus’ upcoming concept album, CONTACT, set for release on November 21.
A Fusion of Sci-Fi and Sonic Innovation
“Entwined” combines Grimes’ ethereal vocals with Sub Focus’s expansive production and intricate basslines, exploring themes of science fiction, humanity, and the cosmos. Using lush synthesizers and captivating lyrics, the song offers listeners a journey through unknown galaxies.
“I literally could not be more hyped on Sub Focus,” Grimes shared on social media during the summer. “Dance music has felt bizarrely sterile and increasingly so over time. It has been so long since I’ve felt euphoric about dance music.”

This will be Sub Focus’ fourth studio album, featuring 14 energetic, vocal-driven drum and bass tracks. Collaborators include Subsonic, Poppy Baskomb, Connie Constance, Emily Makis, and Inez. The album also boasts the hit collaboration with John Summit, “Go Back” featuring Julia Church, which has already garnered 151 million streams worldwide.
The year has marked significant success for Sub Focus, highlighting his evolving sound and broad appeal.
