Joe Keery, widely recognized for portraying Steve Harrington in Stranger Things, is now shining in a different spotlight as a musician under the name Djo. With the release of his third studio album, The Crux, he’s using his platform to support LGBTQ+ youth.
Throughout his Another Bite Tour, Keery pledged to contribute one dollar from each ticket sold to The Ally Coalition (TAC), an organization offering resources and advocacy for young LGBTQ+ people facing discrimination.
TAC, co-founded by producer Jack Antonoff and designer Rachel Antonoff, has long used the influence of music and fan communities to drive visibility and tangible support for LGBTQ+ causes.
“We had the privilege of speaking with @Djo before his last show of the tour at The Greek Theatre in LA. Djo donated $1 per ticket sold to TAC on his Another Bite Tour in support of LGBTQ+ youth.”
While fans continue to celebrate his iconic TV character, Keery’s philanthropic initiative highlights his sincere commitment to using fame for positive social impact.
