Scope of the Recall
- Approximately 833,000 units were sold in the United States.
- About 44,800 units were sold in Canada.
- The affected models are Peloton Original Series Bike+ with model number PL02.
- Serial numbers start with “T” and can be found inside or behind the bike’s front fork or behind the flywheel.
- Bikes were manufactured between December 2019 and July 2022.
- They were available for purchase from January 2020 to April 2025 through Peloton’s official website, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Amazon, and eBay.
Reported Incidents
Peloton initiated the recall after three seat post breakage reports resulted in injuries to two users. The company took immediate action to address the potential safety hazard.
