Details of the Recall
The recall affects certain Peloton Original Series Bike+ models, specifically those with model number PL02 and serial numbers beginning with the letter "T." These bikes were manufactured between December 2019 and July 2022 and sold across the U.S.
- The seat post assembly on these bikes can break during use, posing a fall and injury risk to riders.
- Peloton reported three cases of seat post breakage during exercise, with two resulting in injuries.
- No problems were reported in the 44,800 units sold in Canada.

The Original Series Bike+ had a list price of about $2,495 and was available from January 2020 through April 2025. It was sold at Dick’s Sporting Goods stores nationwide, online, and on platforms like onepeloton.com, Amazon, and eBay.
