At the 2025 League of Legends World Championship in Chengdu, Riot Games partnered again with French studio Fortiche, known for Arcane, to premiere Twilight’s End. This cinematic concludes the year's narrative arc for League of Legends, focusing on characters LeBlanc, Vladimir, and Xin Zhao.
The story unfolds around the final struggle for the Darkin Glaive. It opens with an intense battle at the Spirit Temple, which manifests in Ionia during the spirit blossom bloom. Xin Zhao and the temple guardian Yunara fight to stop Atakhan, LeBlanc's ally, from capturing the ancient glaive that contains the Darkin Zaahen.
Amid the chaos, Xin Zhao touches the artifact and is transported to Zaahen's prison realm. Haunted by a vision of destruction in Beginning of the End, where LeBlanc and Atakhan prevail and Demacia falls, Xin Zhao begs Zaahen to inhabit his body to prevent that future.
Fortiche introduced new visual styles inspired by Ionia’s magic and mysticism to enhance the cinematic’s atmosphere.
"For this production, Fortiche explored new visual codes shaped by Ionia’s magic and mysticism."
These four cinematics have been released since January 2025 to build the story.
