Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao, widely recognized as one of the greatest ADC players in League of Legends history, has surprised fans by naming another star as the best in the role.
Although many regard Uzi as the GOAT ADC, he now gives that title to another player he deeply respects. During a TikTok video from lolesports, Uzi was asked to choose the better ADC between pairs of elite players in a winner-stays-on format.
“Once Park ‘Ruler’ Jae-hyuk was mentioned, there was little space for anyone to take his spot.”
Uzi consistently chose Ruler, the Gen.G star, over names like Gumayusi, Jackeylove, Imp, Viper, Deft, and even himself. His picks highlighted the consistency and dominance Ruler has demonstrated in recent seasons.
The ADC, or Attack Damage Carry, plays a crucial role in dealing damage and eliminating opponents to secure control over the map, particularly during late-game team fights. This role has long defined the structure of professional League of Legends gameplay.
For years, Uzi’s performance shaped expectations for the ADC position, and many considered him nearly unbeatable at his peak. However, Ruler’s modern performances and statistics are so strong that even Uzi concedes the top spot to him.
Uzi retired in 2023 after a remarkable career competing in China with teams such as Bilibili Gaming, Royal Never Give Up (RNG), and EDward Gaming, leaving behind a legacy of dominance and precision.
Uzi, one of League’s greatest ADCs, passed his self-proclaimed crown to Gen.G’s Ruler, recognizing his impressive form as the best bot laner of the modern era.
