A year after retiring from professional swimming, Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus is embracing life beyond the pool. She recently marked a meaningful milestone, celebrating one year since her first date with her boyfriend, Mack.
The couple attended the 2025 TAB Champions Stakes Day during the Melbourne Cup Carnival, where Titmus served as an ambassador for the Victoria Racing Club. Known for her lifelong passion for horses, Titmus grew up around them and once competed in dressage and show jumping before focusing her efforts on swimming.
“Full circle moment ❤️ Mack and I had our first date on Stakes Day last year. A quiet drink after the races. Here we are together, one year on 🥰,”
Sharing this post on Instagram, Titmus revealed that their very first date took place at the same event exactly one year earlier. The Stakes Day is a series of prestigious horse races, where prize money is partly funded by entry fees from horse owners.
Although Mack’s background remains largely private, Titmus described him as entering her life at the perfect moment — just as she announced her retirement from swimming. Her decision, made public last month, surprised many of her fans, as she stepped away from the sport at just 25 years old.
