Man Arrested at Henry E. Rohlsen Airport for Marijuana Possession

A man was arrested at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport after Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials found 6 kilograms of marijuana in his checked luggage.

According to court records, Tristin Carr was a passenger on an American Airlines flight from Tampa International Airport to St. Croix. Upon arrival, CBP officials x-rayed the checked luggage and spotted "anomalies" in the bags bearing Carr's name.

Officials placed the bags on the baggage claim carousel and escorted Carr to a secondary inspection area after he came to retrieve them. Upon searching the luggage, enforcement officers found vacuum-sealed bags containing a total of 6 kilograms of marijuana.
