ORLANDO – After competing in 21 tournaments on the Hotel Planner Tour since February 2025, Clement Charmasson has qualified for the 2026 DP World Tour. The French player earned this achievement by finishing 19th in the overall tour rankings, securing one of 20 spots for the upcoming season at Europe’s highest level of professional golf.
Charmasson, a former standout player for UCF from 2018 to 2022, made a breakthrough by winning the Challenge De España in May and moving up to ninth in the rankings. Since then, three additional top-10 finishes helped him maintain a position inside the top 20, ensuring his place on the European Tour.
At the Rolex Grand Final in Spain, Charmasson finished 21st overall, earning 38.3 points to solidify his 19th place with 703.6 points in the season standings.
During his four years in Orlando, Charmasson was a key player for UCF, especially during his junior year when he was named to the American Athletic All-Conference Team after finishing fifth at the tournament.
After a brief break, Charmasson will start his 2026 campaign at the BMW Australian PGA Championship later this month. This tournament marks the first of up to 40 possible events leading to the DP World Tour Play-Offs in Dubai.
UCF is a proud member of the Big 12 Conference.
