The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is deeply saddened to confirm the unexpected passing of Ian Leavers APM, Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner, former President of the Queensland Police Union of Employees (QPUE), and former QPS member.
Mr. Leavers was found deceased around 9:50 AM after police responded to an address in Mount Ommaney. His death is not being treated as suspicious, and investigations remain ongoing.
