Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide network by reinstating flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport, offering promotional fares starting at $29. The airline will resume this service on 26 March 2026, providing South Australian travelers with a convenient and affordable gateway to Victoria.
The low-cost carrier plans to operate up to seven weekly return flights on this route, creating approximately 109,000 new low-fare seats annually. Jetstar's Airbus A320 aircraft will fly the service, reconnecting South Australia with Victoria’s Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong.
To celebrate the restart, Jetstar launched a limited-time sale with one-way fares beginning at $29, which are available from 11:30am (ACDT) today. This pricing matches the airline’s initial launch fares from over 20 years ago and is expected to sell out quickly.
“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.
“It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong and Melbourne.”
Jetstar’s route relaunch not only expands travel options but also strengthens connections between two vibrant regions, encouraging tourism and accessible travel.
Summary: Jetstar restarts Adelaide-Melbourne Avalon flights with $29 promotional fares, boosting connectivity and travel opportunities for South Australians from March 2026.
