We’re upgrading the app to make our weather forecasts and warnings clearer, simpler, and easier for you to use. Since 2016, the current Met Office app has helped millions stay safe and informed about the weather. However, evolving technology and older infrastructure have limited ongoing improvements.

Users asked for a modern, tidy design that quickly delivers key weather information. We listened and rebuilt the app from the ground up. The refreshed app uses a modern framework for faster updates and a consistent design across both iOS and Android platforms. It is simpler and more accessible, shaped by your feedback.
