Cebu Pacific Receives First A320neo Aircraft Ahead of Holiday Travel Peak

Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo, just in time for the busy holiday travel season. The new 180-seat aircraft arrived over the weekend from Airbus' Toulouse, France facility.

This A320neo is the fourth aircraft Cebu Pacific has added this year and the first of its kind in their fleet, led by the Gokongwei group. Earlier this year, the airline also received three of its four planned A330neo wide-body jets, each capable of seating 459 passengers.

Unlike typical long-haul operations, the A330neos have been deployed on domestic routes to destinations such as Iloilo and Palawan.

Advantages of the Airbus Neo Aircraft

The Neo generation of Airbus jets is recognized for its improved fuel efficiency and reduced noise. These planes use 15% less fuel per flight and generate less noise compared to previous models.

“This latest delivery helps ensure we have enough capacity to serve passengers looking to fly home or discover new destinations this holiday season,” said Xander Lao, president and chief commercial officer of Cebu Pacific.
“We’re committed to making travel more accessible and convenient, especially during this time of year when more Filipinos take to the skies,” Lao added.

Additional Flight Operations

The wider A330neo aircraft are servicing 16 flights between Manila and Bohol, accommodating the increased holiday demand.
