Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, will expand its fleet in December through a damp lease agreement with Bulgaria Air to address the expected surge in passenger traffic during the peak season.

Fleet Expansion Details

Under the arrangement, Cebu Pacific will lease two Airbus A320ceo aircraft from Bulgaria Air. Each plane has a seating capacity of 180 passengers and will operate on domestic routes from Manila to Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro between December 2025 and January 2026.

Agreement and Operations

Bulgaria Air, the national airline of the Republic of Bulgaria, brings extensive expertise in aircraft leasing partnerships with various international carriers. The agreement stipulates that Bulgaria Air will provide the aircraft, pilots, maintenance, and insurance, while Cebu Pacific will assign its own cabin crew for these flights.

“We are continuously exploring ways to expand our fleet and ensure operational resilience,” said Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao. “Our damp lease agreement with Bulgaria Air will allow us to meet strong travel demand from December 2025 to January 2026.”
