All five members of the K-pop girl group NewJeans — Minji, Danielle, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein — have expressed their intention to resume activities under their original label, Ador.
Haerin and Hyein's return to Ador was officially confirmed earlier in the afternoon. The label released a statement saying:
"Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to continue working with Ador. After careful consideration with their families and sufficient discussions with the agency, they decided to respect the court's ruling and comply with their exclusive contracts."
The agency also assured full support for the two members' comeback and asked fans to avoid speculation about the group’s future.
The other three members issued a statement later, explaining their desire to return to Ador as well:
"After careful discussions, we have decided to return to ADOR. One of our members is currently in Antarctica, so communication was delayed, and since Ador has not yet responded, we had no choice but to share our position separately."
This announcement follows a ruling by the Seoul Central District Court in October, which appears to influence their ongoing contracts and activities with Ador.
The entire group NewJeans is moving towards reuniting under Ador after legal and communication delays, with all members expressing their intent to continue their music careers at the label.
Author's summary: NewJeans members, following legal developments and discussions, are set to resume their careers with Ador, ending uncertainties about their agency status.
