More than two dozen family members, friends, and local leaders gathered at the Gaddis Pool on the rain-soaked banks of the East Machias River to honor Joe Robbins.
The boat launch at Gaddis Pool was dedicated to Robbins in recognition of his lifelong dedication to angling and conservation in the region.
During the ceremony, community members shared stories about Robbins' impact on local fishing culture and his efforts in preserving the river’s natural beauty.
"Joe was a true friend of the water, dedicated to ensuring future generations enjoy these waters as much as he did," said one speaker.
Robbins' legacy lives on through this newly named boat launch, a site that will serve anglers and outdoor enthusiasts for years to come.
