KALISPELL, Mont. (November 24, 2025) – The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) offers an update on the progress of four ongoing construction projects in the Kalispell area as the season comes to a close.
MDT is actively managing four key infrastructure projects around Kalispell, aimed at improving transportation safety and efficiency. These projects include road reconstruction, bridge improvements, and traffic system upgrades, each at different stages of completion.
During the construction season, MDT implemented various traffic control measures to minimize disruption, including detours and reduced speed zones. Residents and commuters are thanked for their patience and cooperation.
MDT plans to restart major work once weather improves, targeting project completion by late 2026. The department remains committed to maintaining clear communication with the public regarding timelines and traffic impacts.
"We appreciate the community’s understanding during these necessary improvements," said an MDT spokesperson.
MDT's seasonal update highlights steady progress despite weather challenges and underscores ongoing commitment to safer, more efficient transportation for Kalispell.
