Hebridean Distillery Secures Funding
Benbecula Distillery has secured a £1.5m investment from the British Business Bank's Investment Fund for Scotland.
The funding will be used to scale up production, support the whisky maturation process, and expand headcount.
- Reviving a recipe over 130 years old
- Production began last spring
- Visitor centre and café opened this April
The business is led by founder Angus MacMillan and managing director Hector MacLeod.
Master distiller Brendan McCarron oversees distilling, with a career including senior roles with Moët Hennessy and Distell.
