Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of Arlington, Virginia, described his meeting with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I as "incredible" and a "historic moment of Christian unity."
Patriarch Bartholomew, the spiritual leader of approximately 300 million Orthodox Christians worldwide, made his eighth apostolic visit to the U.S. from September 14-25.
