US startup Electra has chosen Evolito engines to power its ultra-short takeoff and landing (STOL) hybrid-electric passenger aircraft.
On October 13, 2025, Electra and Evolito announced their partnership, where Evolito will provide electric propulsion units (EPUs) for Electra's E9 aircraft, enabling it to take off and land within 45 meters.
Our production contract with Evolito is a significant step forward for our vision for Direct Aviation—safe, quiet, and affordable air mobility that connects communities in ways never before possible.
