Radiant Selects Tennessee for Nuclear Generator Factory
Governor Bill Lee and Radiant officials announced a $280 million investment in Oak Ridge, expanding nuclear manufacturing and research.
- Creating 175 new jobs in Roane County
- Supporting development of Radiant's Kaleidos, a portable nuclear generator
The facility will produce the world's first one-megawatt portable nuclear generator, capable of generating power in remote areas and providing resilient power options.
Radiant is the sixth company to utilize the Nuclear Energy Fund, a $50 million fund approved by the Tennessee General Assembly.
