Taconic volleyball continued their quest for a state tournament berth with a home sweep of Monument Mountain on Monday night.
The Thunder won the sets 25-9, 25-15, 25-22, with Ella Stodden contributing 26 assists. Stodden had achieved her 1,000th assist on Friday night in the sweep of Pittsfield.
"Tonight's win was so important as we fight for the right to play in the state tournament," wrote coach Lancy Fyfe. "We play Southwick Wednesday and then in the Western Mass. tournament next week and need to win at least two more times. This is definitely within our ability and maintaining the right state of mind will most likely be the deciding factor.
The team is inching closer to a state tournament berth, with upcoming games against Southwick and in the Western Mass. tournament.
