Action Required: Password Visibility in Microsoft Edge
Microsoft has resolved an issue with their Edge browser that caused some users' passwords to be visible on screen when logging into University systems.
Usually, password details are starred out as you type to avoid potential security issues. However, passwords may still be visible in your settings.
To ensure our systems remain secure, we are asking all staff and students to check their Microsoft Edge settings to make sure that passwords are not showing in their 'Personal info' settings, where they may be vulnerable.
Microsoft Edge should not show any passwords while logging in.
Please check your settings to ensure passwords are not visible.
