Firefighters Battle Derelict Building Fire in Newquay
A fire broke out at around 3:18am in a derelict building in Newquay, prompting road closures and diversions.
- Diversions are in place on the 93 route due to the fire on Narrowcliff.
- Services will be diverted via Trenance Hill to Treloggan.
- Certain areas, including Great Western, Tolcarne Beach, Barrowfield Hotel, and Newquay Zoo, will not be served in both directions.
Cllr Joanne Kenny stated, "The Council has no direct powers over privately owned property but can use their community powers if buildings are deemed unsafe or unsightly."
