A recent study by the Family Research Council and the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University found that 68% of churchgoers believe marriage is between one man and one woman.
The survey, conducted in July, polled 1,003 churchgoing adults and explored their beliefs on social topics and family life.
Notably, only 46% of respondents defined "family" as a husband, wife, their children, and relatives, despite the majority holding a traditional view of marriage.
The survey aimed to build off a similar 2023 study, shedding light on the beliefs of the faithful regarding social issues and family life.
Author's summary: Churchgoers' views on marriage and family are traditional.
