SWISS Unveils Its First Airbus A350 in Zurich
SWISS, the national carrier of Switzerland, presented its first Airbus A350-900 on October 14, 2025, at Zurich Airport.
The event took place at the airline's maintenance facilities, where Stan Wawrinka served as the 'godparent' for the naming of the aircraft.
- The Lufthansa group ordered the first five Airbus A350-900s for SWISS in 2019.
- In December 2024, SWISS doubled its order for the A350-900.
- The first A350-900 was welcomed in Zurich with a traditional water cannon salute on November 9.
HB-IFA is the first unit to join the SWISS fleet.
