The United States has unveiled an unmanned version of the Black Hawk helicopter, the S-70UAS U-Hawk, at the Association of the United States Army's AUSA 2025 show.
Features of the U-Hawk include a loading platform with hinged doors in the front of the fuselage and a 25% increase in cargo volume due to the absence of a cockpit.
The absence of a cockpit has increased cargo volume by 25 percent.
According to Sikorsky vice president Rich Benton, the manufacturer can quickly convert conventional helicopters into drones on a large scale.
The U-Hawk can be used for various cargo transport and launching small drones.
