Mayor Pureval's Plan to Curb Downtown Violence
Cincinnati's mayor, Aftab Pureval, has deemed the ongoing gun violence issues "absolutely intolerable." In response to the recent violence in Downtown Cincinnati, Pureval has announced several new safety measures.
- CDRT and SWAT teams will be deployed to Fountain Square from 2 p.m.
- New legislation will be introduced to enforce an earlier curfew in the Fountain Square District, potentially starting at 6 p.m.
"If you are an unsupervised teen and you are breaking curfew, we will move you or we will arrest you,"
Pureval emphasized that this warning applies to the entire urban core, not just Fountain Square.
