An Indianapolis woman died Sunday night after a crash on Interstate 65 in northern Bartholomew County.
According to the Indiana State Police, a single vehicle left the roadway at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday night near the Edinburgh exit.
The driver, 35-year-old Amanda Seguin of Indianapolis, suffered severe injuries and despite lifesaving efforts was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bartholomew County Coroner’s Office.
Troopers say that Seguin was driving northbound when she lost control, left the roadway and crashed into a concrete barrier. Her vehicle then continued down an embankment and flipped over, and she was thrown from the crash.
Authorities do not believe she was wearing a seatbelt.
