Planning for higher acuity patients is now a priority. This was discussed by leaders from Journey Skilled Nursing and Ocean Healthcare at the Skilled Nursing News' RETHINK Conference in Chicago.
- Journey has 22 facilities in six states.
- Ocean operates 12 facilities in New Jersey.
Attracting and retaining staff is a struggle for the industry. However, building a solid staffing plan is crucial for profitability.
"You want to build the base of our skilled nursing staff," said Matt Trammel, COO at Journey Skilled Nursing.
