Colorado Springs Honors Charlie Kirk

The Colorado Springs City Council has approved a resolution honoring Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA.

The resolution, introduced by Councilor Brandy Williams, recognizes the U.S. Senate's designation of October 14, 2025, as the National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.

Councilor Williams compared the assassination of Kirk to that of President John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr.

The resolution passed with the support of Councilors Williams, Lynette Crow-Iverson, David Leinweber, Brian Risley, and Tom Bailey.
