South Dakota Family Mourns Brutal Killing of Beloved Horse
A South Dakota family is reeling after discovering their horse was brutally killed on their property.
“She had to be walking around in such pain that no animal should have to endure,” said Lacy Wolff. “It’s just pure evil.”
On October 9th, Jake and Lacy Wolff made the disturbing discovery in the Pactola Reservoir area. Jake found their 15-year-old therapy horse, Cheyenne, lying dead on the ground, surrounded by a large amount of blood.
- Cheyenne had been with the family for six months before her death.
- The family claims someone or multiple people came onto their property and killed the horse.
Lacy Wolff recalled the moment she saw her dead horse, saying:
“I saw her and I knew she was dead, and so, I just dropped all of my stuff and just ran to her.”
