Animal Cruelty Charges Elevated to Felonies

7th Judicial District Attorney Anna Cooling announced that animal cruelty charges against a 61-year-old Montrose man, Scott Flores, have been upgraded to felony-level cruelty.

Flores was initially cited in August on 84 misdemeanor counts of cruelty, which have now been elevated to felonies after further evaluation and consideration of a previous offense.

Those charges are now felonies, after further evaluation and “a previous offense,” Cooling announced.
