CBS Staffers 'Won't Be Punished' for Not Responding to Bari Weiss
Since 2007, Jezebel has been a prominent online source for news on celebrities, sex, and politics. Recently, Bari Weiss was appointed as the editor-in-chief of CBS News after its parent company acquired The Free Press, a Substack she started in 2020, in a $150 million deal.
Weiss has no prior experience in reporting or running a traditional news outlet, which has raised skepticism among many. Her appointment has been met with criticism, and her actions so far have done little to alleviate these concerns.
