Non-Domiciled CDL Integrity Act would make DOT rule a law

Non-Domiciled CDL Integrity Act

The Non-Domiciled CDL Integrity Act aims to prevent unqualified drivers from receiving a commercial driver’s license.

Introduced by David Rouzer, R-N.C., the act would create stricter requirements for commercial driver’s licenses, implementing the U.S. Department of Transportation’s rule into law.

“The Non-Domiciled CDL Integrity Act is a necessary response to the troubling findings of widespread non-compliance in state licensing agencies and a string of tragic, preventable crashes involving illegal immigrant drivers,”

Rouzer said. The legislation ensures only individuals with lawful immigration status and a legitimate reason to operate commercial vehicles in the U.S. can receive a license, closing loopholes and restoring accountability.
