10-Minute EV Charging Comes To America Next Year
ChargePoint is set to introduce 600-kilowatt EV chargers to the market next year, despite the current lack of EVs in the U.S. that can utilize such power.
The Chinese market is ahead in the electric-vehicle race, with several cars capable of charging at 1 megawatt and public charging stations to support it, allowing for EV recharging in about five minutes.
Europe follows closely behind China, with a vast network of chargers and numerous EVs, while the U.S. is set to catch up with the introduction of faster charging technology.
That's being billed as a game-changer in China because it puts EV charging on par with the time it takes to fill up a gas car.
